Washing Up Tips for the Party Season

Yes it's that time of year again. Yuletide is soon upon us and if you're hosting the big day that means dirty dishes and greasy pots and pans.

Never fear – Maid Simple’s Washing Up Liquid is well up for the job and the fabulous fruity scent might just make washing up a joy, rather than a chore.

But we do have some extra washing up tips for you to help make the task a lot easier.

First of all, it is best to wash your dishes in temperatures of about 60 degrees C so that you can get rid of all the germs and bugs. Wear washing up gloves to protect your hands.

You can wash silver cutlery in the dishwasher (as long as you don’t put it in the same basket as stainless steel cutlery) but silver cutlery responds much better to hand washing.

It is best to wash glasses by hand as well, to prevent breakages. Wash glasses first (before you make a start on the dinner plates or dirty pots) and wash in hot water. Apply only small amounts of foam to the rim and bottom of the glass and rinse well in hot water, drying them with a lint-free cloth for best results.
